Exodus no longer supports the Monero wallet
Exodus stopped supporting Monero on 18 August 2025. Its application no longer allows checking the XMR balance or sending XMR. An old tutorial showing a Monero receive button in Exodus therefore no longer describes the current flow. For a new receipt, start by having a wallet that supports Monero and whose access you can verify.
Recovering an old XMR wallet
If you already held XMR in Exodus, see its official guide for recovery to a compatible wallet. Exodus describes in particular a restoration in Cake Wallet. Follow the instructions suited to your device and wait for synchronization. Restoration gives access back to an existing wallet; it does not perform an exchange. The recovery elements remain between you and your wallet application: never enter them on Atlaswap or in a support conversation.
Preparing the receiving address
In the compatible wallet, open Monero receive and copy your public address. The Atlaswap journey accepts primary and subaddresses of Monero mainnet of 95 characters, without a payment ID; integrated addresses are excluded. Check the entire address after pasting and the details of the summary. An address valid by its format does not prove that you have access to the receiving wallet.
Receiving XMR after an external exchange
To receive Monero from a BTC to XMR exchange, provide this address as the XMR destination. After confirming the quote, send only the BTC to the Bitcoin deposit instructions in the order. The XMR are paid separately to your Monero wallet. Track the Atlaswap order, then verify receipt in the synchronized wallet and the availability of funds. Choosing your receiving wallet does not mean the exchange uses the swap service built into that wallet.
Frequently asked questions
Can I still receive Monero directly in Exodus?
Exodus no longer offers an XMR wallet usable in its application. Prepare your new receipts in a compatible wallet whose access you have verified. An old address kept in an export is not enough to confirm that access.
Did my old XMR disappear with the end of support?
The end of support does not by itself mean the funds are gone. Exodus provides a procedure to find the Monero wallet in a compatible application. Use its official documentation and finish synchronizing before concluding anything about the balance.
Do I need to provide my recovery phrase to receive?
No. Atlaswap asks for the public destination address and the information needed for the exchange. A recovery phrase or a private key is never required in its form.
