Use this process if the recipient expects USDT on Tron. In their wallet or on their platform, open USDT receipt and choose Tron, also shown as TRC-20. Copy this address into the exchange. Conversely, the USDT you deposit must be on Ethereum. Before continuing, the form must therefore show USDT / Ethereum to send and USDT / Tron to receive. If the recipient accepts several networks, confirm the one they will actually use.

Keeping enough to pay for the deposit on Ethereum

From a standard Ethereum wallet, sending USDT ERC-20 requires ETH to pay the gas. This cost varies: use your wallet's estimate at the time of deposit. It is added to the USDT sent and is not covered by the USDT you will then receive on Tron. If you withdraw from a platform, check its own fees and verify the amount sent.
